Qualifications

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Engineering Degree or High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 6 months experience at a previous employer. 
Must have Master Molder I certificate, or be prepared to get one upon receiving position.
Master Molder II is a requirement for this position within one year of starting this position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The associate frequently is required to walk.  The associate is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

 

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.  The associate is frequently exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.  The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
